Nicola, who plays Nicola Rubinstein in the long-running ITV soap, hinted that there could be trouble ahead for her pregnant character.
Viewers at home will know that Nicola has teamed up with Gary Windass (Mikey North) to expose her murdering father Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre).
But her scheming ways could get her in hot water as Nicola revealed that things start to heat up in the coming episodes.
She said: “I know she should be very afraid of Phelan because of what he is capable of but they have a very unique relationship, which is not like any of the other characters on the street… she is his Achilles Heel!”
Nicola has been plotting with Gary to take her father down after Anna was sent to prison because of an evil plan hatched by Pat.
Speaking about Nicola’s quest for justice, the actress said: “She knows that Anna is wrongly imprisoned, she knows that Luke is dead and that Phelan is responsible for that.
“She cares so much for Seb and now Anna, who is the grandmother of her child, so she has chosen to put herself in that position. She isn’t thinking about herself, she just wants the best for the people involved.”
Desperate to protect Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), Nicola hides him in her flat, following his testimony against Pat in court last month.
However, things soon take a turn for the worse when Nicola receives a phone call from the police, saying there has been a burglary.
“She takes the phone call from the police when she is with Phelan so she plays it cool. But when she turns up at the flat she is panicking because she doesn’t know what has happened to Seb.
“This is a moment where everything changes for Nicola. She doesn’t know for certain but she is fairly sure that it must have been Phelan,” Nicola said.
Despite her fears that Pat had something to do with Seb’s disappearance, Nicola is still confident she can take him down.
In an upcoming episode Nicola will try to make things right between Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Gary but when she attempts to sort the situation out she suddenly collapses.
Later when Pat goes to visit Nicola in hospital, he requests to be left alone with her and Nicola fears he could harm her.
Will Pat hurt his daughter? Or does he genuinely want to check up and see how she is doing?
