Aside from his marriage to Davina, Matthew Robertson is most famous for appearing in animal rescue TV show Pet Rescue.
He now runs an adventure travel company. The couple got married in June 2000 and they have two daughters, Holly and Tilly, and a son named Chester.
After Davina spit from her husband, she said: “I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have separated.
“Our amazing children are our number one priority, above everything else so therefore we ask for as much space and respect from the media as possible while our family goes through this difficult time.”
On Friday the former Big Brother presenter posted on Instagram: “Every morning we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better.
“Your past is your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part.”
Davina added: “I really know about this one. I have made so many mistakes in my life. But there is always a new day.”
Matthew once starred in sitcom Sam’s Games and played a man in a cafe with had a crush on Sam, who was played by Davina.
Their wedding in the village of Eastnor near Ledbury, Herefordshire, attracted the likes of Gabby Roslin, Julian Clary and Dale Winton.
The couple renewed their vows at a chapel ceremony in Las Vegas, during a road trip through California with their children in 2015.
Speaking about her husband on Loose Women in 2015, Davina said: “He’s very romantic and extremely funny. And if I’m down he really takes care of me.
Davina has previously said her marriage was her biggest achievement and her husband enduring being called Mr McCall was “a kick in the nuts”.
She said: “For any man to be married to a famous woman, it doesn’t matter what you do or where you are in life, it’s a big ask.”
Last year the former Big Brother host confirmed all three of her children have September birthdays because she did not want to miss hosting the reality TV programme.
She admitted they were all born in the same month because of her television commitments during the summer.
Davina presented the reality show for its 11 series run on Channel 4 between 2000 and 2010, as well as Celebrity Big Brother between 2001 and 2010.
She was previously married to actor Andrew Leggett.
